Unissued Canadian Pattern 1949 Battledress Trousers

These vintage Canadian Army wool trousers go pretty damn hard. Crafted with serge wool, they can be a little itchy but provide unparalleled warmth in cooler weather. They come with button-adjustable cuffs, a button-up fly and waist, two slash pockets and two button-flap pockets.

This pattern of Battledress Trouser was based off the WWII-era British Battledress Trouser. It served the Canadian military until the 1960s, when wool began to be phased out in favor of more modern materials such as cotton, nylon or polyester.

These pants were produced in the early 1950s and come in brand new, unissued condition. Produced by a variety of manufacturers, so please be aware the fabric shade will vary from khaki to green.

The Short & Sweet:

  • Genuine Canadian Army surplus
  • Deadstock, unissued condition
  • 100% serge wool construction
  • Button-adjustable cuffs
