Unissued Benin Lizard Parka

A classic camo in the form of a warm parka. Coming from the small African country of Benin, this parka promises to keep you stylish and warm; with an easy-going, loose cut and removable liner, this piece will be on rotation year-round.

Features:

  • Zip-up front
  • Button-in liner
  • Two spacious front pockets
  • Authentic African Surplus

The Camo

Granted independence in 1958, Benin, like many countries in West Africa, still bears marks of French influence in its uniform design. This distinct copy of French Lizard, tenue de leópard, has a much redder-hued brown with a much higher density of these stripes. It is believed this pattern was used well before the 1980s and has continued to be used to this day by the Forces Armees Beninoises (FAB).
